Princeton, USA

So after that Norwegian confession, lets move on to this next card from Princeton in New Jersey that arrived as an official earlier this year.

US-3894874

from the back of the card:
A look at some of the unique architecture and shops on Nassau Street. The historic Princeton University Campus is located across the street. Here you can also find the Drumthwacket, which is the official residence of the governor of New Jersey.

New Jersey, USA

well, ill close today with a New Jersey map...I have another one here. Can someone tell me how many different map cards publishers are there in the US? coz there are so many different series, it is hard to keep track :)

well, i wont be talking about NJ again...i actually wanted to share something else with you that I came across today...not that I couldnt share it with you with some other card, but since it was NJ involved in the story, i thought it would be the most appropriate to post it along today

a short but lovely and touching story in a way

I just absolutely love it!!! Usually i read stories how dads help their sons or give them their wisdom and unconditional love....i rarely, come across things being the other way round...hence i so much appreciate it.
Hope it got you thinking, at least for a moment...

apart from the clock stamp, there are two other nice ones here from a set of 4 Cowboys of the Silver Screen stamps, issued in 2010.

Saludos!

New Jersey, USA

A very nice addition to my lighthouse collection.

back of the card:

Barnegat Lighthouse
Long Beach Island, N.J
Spectacular view of the Barnegat Lighthouse, located on the northern point of Long Beach Island. The lighthouse was built in 1857-58 and was first lighted on Jan. 1, 1859.

Nice.

Oh, before I forget....it happens that every now and then everyone of us receives not such a pleasant surprise in the mailbox in the form of an unattractive, plain postcard...sometimes it cant even be called a postcard....anyways, in case you have such a precious item at home, which you havent thrown and dont feel like throwing due to guilt of consciousness,  you may take part in this contest over at Glenn's and on top of that even win something....so, receiving that *makes my hair go up* card, might turn not to have been THAT bad after all :)
You can participate with either the worst or the ugliest card...you can read the more detailed rules here....personally, i still cant make up my mind, mainly because i cant draw the line between the ugliest and the worst....so im pretty stuck....and funny, but even though there are several cards i absolutely dont like, i cant entitle them as the worst or ugliest, coz im one of those people who try to find a good thing even at a worst hopeless situation...yeah, im naive....i know....but either way, you may just try your chances with this contest, and at the same time get rid of some cards you so anxiously have been hiding at the bottom of your drawer.

quite a different stamp from the common US ones...this is a self-adhesive stamp issued in 2003, called -Wisdom - APS Ameristamp Expo Biloxi MS-.

I should go to sleep...or maybe write some cards...or...*sigh*...I dont know, ill see..

New Jersey, USA

A new map card in my collection!!! Yippieee!!!!
I have to say that Yvonne has been sending me a bunch of great cards...and some more are coming as well! Thanks Yvonne!!!!
Now, as usual, your lazy blogging-host, turned to the back of the card, wanting to give you the information from right there...when...there isnt ANY kind of info on the back!! And NOW what, your host wondered...these things eased my writing so much...and felt appropriate to be put here since they belonged to the card...and what should i do know....duh...well, i actually like the back of the card coz its rather picturesque (its actually the same image as the front, just in a much paler tone..and its places horizontally ..but the usual facts and figures info, would have spared me loads of trouble :)
So...while wondering what to put and searching for info, i came across something fun and interesting and i thought to myself that it would be right to share it with you...and get a bit away from the conventional kind of posts when these kind of cards come in the way....so here we go:
