Well, personally I use plain papers for my letters since we barely have any nice stationery here and those sold are insanely expensive or are sold one small sheet per envelope....having in mind that my letters usually take 4 pages A4 format, what's sold here is simply ridiculous....so I need to use plain envelopes as well..but I LOVE decorating those with stickers...and when I put a nice stamp and use a colour pen to write the address, it looks nice eventually and not plain at all :)
So this contest seems to be like a jackpot for me, and Im surely gonna enter...I just hope that with my slowness I wont miss the deadline in the end :P

Moment of Truth.......100th Country is HERE!!!

So the moment has finally come! The 100th country arrived today....after a second attempt actually :)
The postman came today and brought me several cards and i was delighted! And that was all ok....then after like an hour or so, i accidentally saw the postman through our kitchen window, as if he was just getting on, on his bike, and i jokingly told my mum that he might have forgotten something to leave in my mailbox :D But actually i just thought that he had finished with the mail for today and was going back to the post-office, and going thru MY street is sometimes convenient coz it feels like cutting down some distance....
Anyway...as much as i believed he was just passing by, i also had this hidden itch/hope that he maybe left something for me again...so i just went to the mailbox....AAANNNDDD.....there were 3 more cards there!! I was in AWE!!! Not because there were 3 cards, but because i actually got mail for the second time in one day!! That has never ever happened to me before, and let me tell you, its a feeling one of a kind!!
And here...here, among these 3 cards was my 100th country!! The fact that it actually turned out like this makes me believe there is some sort of higher spirit which made the postman come back and leave me the rest of my mail today and that he didnt do it all at once (though, im honestly wondering, how could he have forgotten to leave them the first time...if it was one card i would have understood, but three cards really have to hide themselves :) My mum says that he just cant keep track of my mail anymore and that when he realized he has to come back to me, he was furious :) Hmm, well i think that my postman i just a nice man no matter what.

And......*sigh*...actually no one voted for Uzbekistan....I did expect some of the countries you had mentioned, like Uruguay or Saudi Arabia....but I guess Uzbekistan was faster...even though honestly i didnt expect him to arrive...at least not now....
So now i have to turn to my plan B...and since i cant have an actual winner, i need to draw one randomly...so i found this "HAT" from which you  can draw names and i decided  to use it for this contest, provided that its all visible and fair :)

the 100th Country Contest!

Well, as you may know, time ago i told you that once im about to receive card from the 100th different country in my collection, i will make a contest about it. Well, the time has come...i know probably all of a sudden, coz first, i actually received 3 new countries in less than a week, and in that week, i havent really done many updates due to a number of reasons (had a really busy week, had a rough week and honestly, i sometimes feel down and not in the mood to write something decent...and the cherry on top is that my internet was down for like 3 days...so when you gather it all, it all contributed for my lack of posts...and im really sorry for that...and i know i owe many of you a message, and i will try to catch up with it during this weekend....)
Anyway, as i said, the card from my 100th country is about to come...when, i have no idea...where from, i dont know as well...all it takes for you to do is take a wild guess and see if you were right or no...the one who guesses it right, will get either a card or a cover, or anything he or she may like....we'll make a deal (just have in mind that the Macedonian postal culture doesnt give you many opportunities...)
So here are the basic rules, and as long as you follow them right, you are IN:
- one guess per person only
- do leave an email or link to your site when you post, as id be able to contact you in case you are the lucky winner
- if someone has already mentioned a country, doesnt mean you cant vote for it again...as long as the sixth sense tells you its the right one, go for it
- if two or more people guess right, they will all have the chance to win something
- if two or more new countries arrive on the same day, they will all be taken in account, and everyone who has voted for any of them will be considered as a winner
- if no one guesses right...uhm, oh well..ill draw one winner using some random generator
- if you had already sent me a card from a particular country or you are about to do so, you CAN'T vote for that country...that can be considered as cheating and unfair to the rest of the participants
- this contest will be open until the 100th country arrives

- the card itself can be written and stamped, or sent in an envelope...doesnt matter...im still not in the hunt for receiving the cards written and stamped only from the country of origin...so everything counts as long as the card shows something from that particular country
- the cards will have to be store-bought...so hand-made, self-printed, ad-cards, will NOT count...sorry!
- dependencies and sovereign territories are also valid for a guess
- and last, but not least....have fun! :)
