Coffee love

Recently through my friend Dani I discovered the Random Hearts and the Guest Heart Thursday...

So I thought it would be nice to share a bit of my love with them and spread the warmth.....and today it comes in a great combination of love and coffee....coffee addicts know what I mean, and I dont know if it's just me, or the world often seems a better place after a nice cup of coffee, esp. in the morning :)

Be generous and kind and if you have some hearts to share, give your love at Clyte's blog...you will be amazed how many hearts have been gathered there at one place!

Ich will keinen Kaffee trinken......

well, here is a deliciously looking card...with a small story behind it....which i know will leave a bunch of you in disbelief but yeah, its true....or it WAS true would be more appropriate

Not so long ago, Ana made a decision to quit coffee....yeah, Ana the coffee addict decided to give up on it....at first gradually, in order not to feel shocking, and than to completely remove it from the daily routine....so  Ana bought a number of different tea (yeah, she actually decided to transfer to tea too) . At the beginning Ana was on a one cup/mug of coffee on daily basis, which compared to the three or so before, was a success....and then Ana stopped drinking coffee at all...and Ana was extremely fine with it, since Ana didnt even crave for coffee nor felt in crisis for it...and that lasted for like 10 days or so....until Ana got this huge working assignment which required tons of time and nerves...and Ana got back to her coffee....not so much in order to keep her awake  as in order to calm her down and give her the boost to work on rather annoying subjects.....and Ana has a mug of coffee right next to her right now, even though she finished with the current assignment....and Ana really hates herself for being so liable....but there you go...Ana realized any other attempt wont be successful unless Ana can have a normal daily routine...which honestly Ana doesnt like to have since its boring and tedious and not so fulfilling as a hectic day full of errands and assignments to finish and impossible deadlines to fulfill...yeah, Ana is a bit insane...and coffee wise...how can you possibly resist this one on the card?.

Let's have some Cappuccino.....

There is no better way for me to start the day with a nice, warm, delicious cup of coffee...well, in general, it makes my waking up early more bearable....and for me, any time of day when i need to wake up is early, and without some coffee, i just feel flabby...AFTER some coffee, i feel more lively and in a better mood...
I dont know how it is exactly in all the rest parts of the world, but here, when you want to see a friend, you actually say 'hey, do you want to go for some coffee'? or 'do you want to come over for a cup of coffee'?
But its just like a phrase which sort of feels like an excuse of asking a friend to meet...as if its trivial to say 'i want to see you' direct...as if it leaves no room for anything else but see that person, doing nothing else...as if the 'coffee' makes the meeting more fun and easier to go through it...as if its actually a burden to meet a friend...
I know it sounds all wrong, but i guess the coffee meetings associate some sort of closeness with the person and as if what you're gonna do, wont be just empty talk, but you'll have some coffee as well!
The funny thing is that after you arrange the coffee meeting and all, you end up drinking something totally else, or you order something to eat...and the coffee is...well...left somewhere hanging....totally forgotten...and when you actually sit at the table, you have this 'oh, i drink coffee every day at home...give me something else' thought....
yeah, meeting for some coffee (here) is a real phenomenon....i just wanted to know the significance of coffee meetings in other parts of the world as well...and if its something that brings you closer to people....

anyone wants to have a cup of coffee with me now? :)) Or we can all have one over at Marie's at her PFF cafe :)

Paulig Coffee

My last card for today is to represent one of my greatest pleasures, passions and addictions....coffee! Ok, maybe it doesnt have a cup of freshly brewed coffee, but this is a nice coffee commercial.
Reminds me to those Marlboro cigarette commercials i used to see when i was little...they all had some cowboy/wild west style in them...i just dont get one thing...how come all girls on commercials like this, sitting on a horse, tend to have such a great tanned skin and they always wear the exact kind of denim jeans and moreover, they feel to so perfectly follow the line of their legs and just look so sexy on them...im envious!

Not so long ago while flipping through the TV channels (which is an occasion for itself since i rarely watch TV), i came across some chat show, and they were showing the results of an experiment they had done with 3 coffee addicts. They had given them each, 3 different kind of coffee-based products, in order to help them reduce their daily amount of caffeine...the first one had to use a coffee-scented body lotion, the second one a coffee-flavoured tooth-paste, and the third one a coffee-flavoured lip balm. All products had a delicious scent...well, its coffee after all.
Anyway, after several days of using the product, they had to give a reprot on how it felt for them and whether it had helped them or no. The one with the body lotion was craving for coffee, the other two, i cant recall exactly which one, was also craving for her daily caffeine dosage...the one with the tooth-paste i think...while the third one said that it actually did help her reduce the amount of coffee she drinks everyday. The reasons for this turned out to be that she was using a product, which was closest to the tasting centre and which was being absorbed in the body the fastest and so the body was fooled that it had a caffeine intake. The one with the body-lotion  could have just dreamed of having her product closest to the mouth, so thats why she still had to take huge coffee amounts, daily.
Well, this got me into thinking about myself, and i figured that i dont really take coffee for the caffeine only...the pelasure of having coffee is in feeling its taste on your tounge, of letting it slip through your throat, of feeling its particular sweetness and aroma...the pleasure is making a nes-cafe drink, where you stir the coffee and the sugar until you get a deliscious creamy mixture....and add milk to it, and maybe a bit of cinnamon on top...or a hot regular nes-cafe...which awakens all your senses and the taste of it just feels soo perfect. So thats why i love coffee...i would never actually swap for a caffeine based product, coz that wont give me the pleasure...not one single bit...i do love the effect caffeine has and how it can keep you awake or give you energy and all...but the preparation, the taste and the feeling that drinking coffee can provide, cant be substitues with any other product....and thats my final word on it :)

ok, im glad i was able to make this update, considering ive been having a cold, and some other severe health problems...im doing more or less ok right now, but in general, its not that pinky :)

Hopefully you are enjoying your weekend....its a cold one here...sunny, but very windy and cold....

till next time!

Coffee (02)

Here is a nice cup of coffee for a good morning....if you are reading this in the morning, that is..
Im having a nice huge glass of nes-cafe at the moment...with cinnamon on top...its supposed to get me going and improve my mood but this morning nothing does...so apologies in advance if you find today's update boring, poor, rushed-out or with a tone of melancholy...i just feel really sad in general, and right now, i cant get out of it...but i didnt want to postpone an update coz i never know if i postpone one for the following day whether ill be able to actually do it...and i just want to focus my mind on something...im supposed to be working but my brain just aint working properly for that...

I guess you need to be a real-coffee lover in order to have the itch for these kind of cards and find them appealing for many reasons....
Why do i like this one in particular?
I can actually feel the smell of the coffee-beans, i can feel the warmth of the coffee and the scent spreading from the cup...i can feel the sweet taste of the milk-foam
I just cant recall if i had ever been served a cafe with heart-shaped figures on it....i guess they are either made if cocoa, or cinnamon....makes most sense....visually it does look nice....sometimes, some visual/ingredient additions to coffee, just make it more tasty and appealing than it already  is :)

Coffee

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, my first coffee card!!!!! If you know how much i love coffee, then youd know how much i love this card as well...

The special thing about this card is that it came TOTALLY unexpectedly, as a part of a RAS RR, on behalf of Jessica, who actually sent me the Alcatraz card i liked so much, and now she thought of me to include me in this RR, and the person who sent it (homine) sent me a coffee card, since she saw i like coffee cards!
Now, how thoughtful is that? On both sides??!

And this coffee on the card here is simply delicious...i can even feel its appealing smell and delicious taste by just looking at it...each time i take a peek, gives me the urge to make myself some coffee....ok, i dont need to actually look at it in order to get the coffee-urge...i have that urge regardless of anything...several times a day....but still, looking at this card, makes coffee as appealing as it can get...if it was a commercial, it would definitely have the right effect on me to go and buy it! :)

Thanks!
