The Hague, The Netherlands

A really nice card showing the Dutch capital...

I really love this Dutch architecture....here on these four pictures you can take a look at: - the Peace Palace, Noordeinde, Parliamentbuildings and Hofvijver.
things The Hague reminds me of....the so famous International Court of Justice...so not really a place im fond of being at....but with the overall political issues here and in former Yugoslavia, there are many 'our' people who are being prosecuted there....and one is a very hot current case as well...in case you have heard about Johan, then you know what im talking about....but then there are those people from ex-Yu being judged about the deeds done during the wars in Croatia and Bosnia and Serbia.....so yeah, when i hear about the Hague, thats the first thing that comes to my mind unfortunately....

and another small fact related to it...The Hague is one thing i ALWAYS had to mention at work when the lesson about "Articles" was on the schedule...so you talk about all the rules regarding a/an/the...and you say that the general rule is that 'the' is not put in front of personal names and places and such...BUT....then comes the inevitable part of the English grammar, where every rule has a bunch of exceptions...and that rule is that out of all the towns in the world, The Hague is sort of unique coz its the only one which has the honour to have the 'the' in front of its name....hmmm, teaching is a nice thing...too bad they killed my desire to dedicate myself to it....

and one of those most common Dutch stamps.....Eurocent...unfortunately, not cancelled

so, that would be it for today...and see, i didnt say a SINGLE computer-related word, even though the issue still hasnt been solved...but there, i decided not to bother you with it today...i can be a good girl sometimes ;)
