This is considered to be one of the most interesting buildings in Somerville, Massachussets.
It is called Enoch Robinson Round House.
Enoch Robinson, an eccentric door knob manufacturer, built his Round House in 1856 in the Spring Hill section of Somerville. Architectural historians have studied the house for its complex design, bowed windows, maritime ornamention and French inspired interior decoration. The shape of the building has been traced to the Desert de Retz in Chambourcy, France.
